JT Swing Teams - Zurich - March/April 2024
We are very happy to announce that we are running a of JT Swing Teams in Zurich this year again!
What is JT Swing Teams?
Some of you have probably seen routines from previous seasons abroad on international events like the Budafest, UK Champs, Nordic Swing and D-Town Swing, etc, and certainly many of you have seen the Zurich team great performance at Swingtzerland, and first routine in Silbando, SalsaMania, and Dance Inn party.
From the dancers' perspective learning choreography offers a unique environment not only to learn new patterns but also to improve partnering and personal skillsets, quality of movement, musicality, and showmanship. With JT Swing Teams dancers have an amazing opportunity to learn a routine choreographed by Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollmann.
This Spring, Gyuri and Florence are going to teach and coach JT’s routine for Season 10 in Zurich.
Level
We will run JT Swing Team’s JV level routine (JV stands for Junior Varsity), which suppose to be challenging for people competing in Novice level. For those of you who have done previous seasons with us, the difficulty is similar, a slightly more challenging. We recommend this classes for our Level 4 and 5 students, but feel free to contact us if you are from another school! You must sign up with a fixed partner that you are willing to work over the season. There is no rotation in the class. If you are in doubt whether your knowledge is good enough, feel free to ask either Gyuri or Florence by email or in person.
Schedule Overview
Based on our previous experiences we have chosen to teach the choreography in an intensive fashion. The classes are organized in terms of weekend intensives while providing practices and coaching sessions on some of the weekends afterwards.
Depending on your level and commitment to the course and performances you will need to practice the choreography with your partner outside of the above listed sessions. Those additional practices are optional, and you can find time and place on your own. If there is enough interest in the group, we will try to help you find an available room for additional practice sessions.
Costs
Early bird price is 550 CHF per person for the full season. After February 1, the price will increase to 650 CHF. Price includes a JT Swing Team T-Shirt, in case you do not yet have one.
